Soif will be hosting a special presentation and tasting of the Red Wines of Northern Portugal.  We will provide an overview of Portuguese history as it relates to wine, the basics of the wine regions, the appellation system and important appellations in the north, quality designations, how to read Portuguese wine labels , and the major red grape varieties in each of the regions. The tasting will consist of 7 wines representing the most important quality appellations and their classic grape varieties. 
Wines to be tasted will be from the following Portuguese DOC areas: Vinho Verde, Douro, Dão, and Bairrada.

The presentation will be given by William Vieira Vroman, Business Manager at Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard /Quinta Cruz. 
He is a Certified Portuguese Wine Ambassador by ViniPortugal and the Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho Português, and occasionally writes the tasting notes for the Quinta Cruz wines made from Portuguese varieties.

Join us for an evening of tasting, learning, and geekin'. Small snacks will be provided and we will be offering discounts on the wines presented. 

The cost for this event is $25 per person.
