On Wednesday April 18th we will be joined by Laurent Gruet (pictured left), head-winemaker of Gruet Winery, for a tasting of several of their sparkling wines. Gruet Winery is renowned for producing remarkable sparkling wines (using the traditional champagne method), in a most unexpected place - New Mexico. The fascinating story of how the Gruet family decided to expand their estate from Champagne to New Mexico can be found on the Gruet Winery website. We will be pouring the following Gruet wines:
NV Gruet Sauvage (100% Chardonnay)
NV Gruet Brut (75% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir)
NV Gruet Demi-Sec (50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay)
The tasting will take place from 5pm to 7pm in our wine shop. The cost of the tasting is $15 for general admission, and free for Soif Wine Club Members. Tickets may be purchased either below, or in our wine shop.
